About Us

Our
Story
Our story in the building world began long before we ever imagined owning a cabin of our own. My husband has worked in the building industry for over 25 years, and throughout our 15 years of marriage, we’ve built, remodeled, and sold many homes together. Building has always been more than a career for us — it’s something we’ve done side by side, learning, growing, and creating as a team.
Over time, life naturally led us to the Broken Bow area. My husband had spent years building cabins and residential homes here for clients, and through those experiences, our family fell in love with the beauty, the pace, and the feeling of the area. It slowly became a place that felt like home to us.
In 2025, we reached a long-time goal of completing our very first cabin to keep for ourselves. The design was inspired by our eight-year-old daughter, who was deeply in her horse era at the time. Her imagination helped spark the vision behind The Equestrian Oasis, and inviting her into the creative process made the project even more meaningful. What began as a dream became a space filled with personal touches and family heart.
Decorating and design have always been a passion of mine. While I’ve never formally studied design, it’s something I’ve always loved and naturally gravitated toward. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to decorate and furnish many of our builds. It became both a creative outlet and a way to stay connected to myself while raising our family. Creating a space from the ground up — imagining how it will feel, how people will gather, and how memories will be made there — remains one of my favorite parts of what we do.
We both grew up in families that valued hospitality and taught us to treat others the way we’d want to be treated. That foundation guides everything we create. When we travel, we look for spaces that feel warm, intentional, and comfortable — somewhere that feels special from the moment you walk in. That is exactly what we hope to offer every guest who stays with us: a place to slow down, reconnect, and feel truly welcomed.
